Morton Potoff, CFP® established MJP Associates, Inc. (now MJP Wealth Advisors) in 1981 with the vision of providing creative, personal, and effective financial strategies to his clients. His holistic approach to wealth management and financial planning has defined MJP for more than 40 years.

 

Morton Potoff, CFP® established MJP Associates, Inc. (now MJP Wealth Advisors) in 1981 with the vision of providing creative, personal, and effective financial strategies to his clients. His holistic approach to wealth management and financial planning has defined MJP for more than 40 years.

Mort set the tone and culture of the company to reflect honesty and integrity in everything we do. As a strategic mentor to our advisors, he encourages a personal and future-forward approach, crafting unique solutions for each client. Today, as a member of the MJP Wealth Advisors Investment Committee, he is active in developing the firm’s investment strategies and portfolios.

Mort is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and provides guidance on all aspects of a client’s financial life, including investments, retirement planning, taxes, insurance, and estate planning. In addition, he provides guidance on Social Security and Medicare planning for our existing clients. Mort holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from Marietta College.

Outside of MJP Wealth Advisors, Mort is a member on the Board of Directors for the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, a non-profit performing arts organization located in a historic theatre in Old Saybrook, CT.

He also enjoys cars, boats and spending time with his family. Mort has three daughters and two grandchildren and divides his time between Long Boat Key, FL. and Deep River, CT with his wife, Jeanne.
