President and Managing Executive

Brian Vendig is the President and Managing Executive of MJP Wealth Advisors. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s strategic development and operations. Brian is a member of the MJP Wealth Advisors' Investment Committee, which develops the firm's investment strategies and portfolios.

Brian provides an integrated approach to his clients’ financial planning and wealth management needs. He has an abiding passion for working with clients and enjoys helping them address all of the relevant areas of personal finance, including investments, retirement planning, insurance, taxes and education planning, in order to create a truly comprehensive financial plan.

Brian is a General Securities Principal and holds the Series 7, 24, 51, 63 and 65 securities registrations, as well as Life and Health Insurance license. Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Connecticut and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation accredited through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Brian has established himself as a trusted wealth advisor through his expertise in meeting the needs of investors. In 2018, he was recognized on Forbes' 2018 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list, which spotlights the top performing wealth advisors across the country; Brian is currently ranked #23 in Connecticut. In 2017 and 2018, Brian was a Five Star Wealth Manager award winner. Brian was named “Best Financial Advisor” in the Best of Hartford Magazine Readers’ Poll in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2015, Rep. Magazine ranked Brian #35 on its list of “Top NextGen Independent Broker Dealer Advisors” under age 40 in the United States. In addition, he has been a member of several advisor panels focused on maximizing efficiency to build business growth.

Brian has 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting industries. Prior to joining MJP, Brian worked for Xerox Corporation, a venture capital firm and a “Big 4” public accounting firm. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting and a Minor in Economics from Bucknell University.

Outside of MJP Wealth Advisors, Brian serves on the Board of Directors for Family & Children’s Agency, a non-profit organization that provides services to children, adults, and seniors. He lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife Michele and their two children. In his free time, Brian is an avid tennis player and plays competitively throughout southwestern CT.
